Dubai: Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Saturday dismissed Industry and Trade Minister Yahya Al Mutawakil.
No reason was given for Al Mutawakil's dismissal.
A new deree was issued on the same day, appointing Hesham Sharaf as the new Minister of Industry and Trade.
Sharaf was Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation.
On January 12, Saleh suspended Minister for Oil and Minerals Amir Salim Al Aidrous and Executive Director of the Yemen Petroleum Company Omer Al Arhabi over a fuel shortage that forced people to queue at petrol stations.
