Muscat: Fatalities on Oman’s roads continue to be a matter of concern for the authorities as 69 people lost their lives in 633 accidents across the country in April, according to statistics released by the Royal Oman Police.
Most people were killed in Muscat (22) and Batinah region (24) while six died in the Dhakhliya region. The other deaths recorded with the ROP due to road accidents were Buraimi and Wusta region (five each), Sharqiya region (four) Dhofar (two) and one in Dhahirah regions.
Among those who died was a family of four Omanis killed on the spot in a head-on collision near Al Qabil
