Kuwait: Nepali migrant worker commits suicide

A Nepali migrant worker has committed suicide in Kuwait. The deceased has been identified as Gokul Prasad Tamang of Panchthar district. Tamang, 35, committed suicide by hanging himself in his own room.

The Ministry of Interior received information through its control room that an expat had committed suicide in an apartment in Mangaf area.

A security team was immediately dispatched to the location to which they found the Nepali citizen had committed suicide. The body was referred to the forensics department and a case has been registered in Abu Halifa.

He had been working for the Seven Burgers Company based in the Mangaf region. The reason behind his suicide is yet to be investigated, said the Nepali Embassy in Kuwait.

He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
