Ram Revilla's brother arrested for alleged murder

Dubai: Police have arrested the brother of actor and aspiring politician Ramgen “Ram” Revilla for his alleged involvement in Ram’s killing.

Ramon Joseph Bautista, 22, has been placed under police custody after being tagged as one of the suspects in Ram’s killing on Friday, Parañaque police chief Senior Superintendent Billy Beltran told ANC’s Headstart.

Investigation is ongoing, Beltran said. Police are still searching for three more suspects in the killing.

Ram was shot and stabbed dead in his house in Paranaque City on Friday. The killers reportedly wore Halloween masks when they entered the house. They also shot Ram’s girlfriend, Janelle Manahan, who is recovering at a hospital.

On Monday, police arrested two suspects who allegedly hired Ram’s killers.

Ram’s sister, Ramona, told police that the suspects first shot Manahan before shooting Ram and stabbing him 11 times.

Ram’s half-brother, Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., on Saturday offered a P500,000 (Dh43,290) reward for information that would lead to the arrest of those involved in the killing.
