Indian forces use teargas to disperse Indian Kashmir protesters

Srinagar: Police and paramilitary soldiers fired teargas at hundreds of rock-throwing protesters in the Indian Kashmir on Saturday.

Senior police official B.Srinivas said at least one person was injured in the clashes.

Hundreds of protesters chanted "We want freedom" and "Indian forces leave Kashmir" as they flooded into central Srinagar.

Residents and shopkeepers in the area claimed that soldiers entered their homes and smashed windowpanes and furniture and beat them with batons.
