Republican Donald Trump defeated Democrat Kamala Harris in Nevada, NBC and CNN projected, flipping a battleground that had previously backed Democrats in 2016 and 2020.

Nevada accounts for six of the 270 Electoral College votes required to win the White House.

The 78-year-old has already secured a clear majority in the Electoral College, which decides the president.
