Winds up to 40 km/h may reduce visibility in the west; residents advised to stay cautious
Dubai: The UAE is set for a fair but dusty day, with a noticeable drop in temperatures, especially across western regions, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM). After a scorching high of 47.2°C recorded yesterday in Bada Dafas, Al Dhafra, today's forecast promises slight relief, although weather conditions may still pose challenges.
Daytime temperatures are expected to reach between 39°C and 43°C in inland areas, with slightly milder conditions of 34°C to 38°C along the coast and islands. Mountainous regions will see cooler highs of 32°C to 37°C.
Winds ranging from light to moderate will pick up strength at times, stirring up blowing dust and sand, particularly in western parts of the country. These gusts, reaching up to 40 km/h, could significantly reduce visibility and pose hazards for motorists and outdoor workers.
The Arabian Gulf will shift from moderate to very rough by afternoon, while the Oman Sea is forecasted to become rough by night.
Authorities are urging residents to exercise caution, especially in affected areas where dust may impact visibility and air quality.
