UAE flight cancellations: Airlines issue fresh updates amid Iran-Israel conflict

UAE carriers have either suspended or rescheduled their services.

UAE airlines have either extended their flight cancellations or rescheduled their services as the conflict between Iran and Israel rages on.

On Thursday, Sharjah airline Air Arabia announced an update on suspension of flights to select destinations following the closure of airspaces because of the ongoing conflict.

Flights to and from Iran, Iraq, Russia, Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan are suspended until Monday, June 30, the airline said.

Flights to and from Jordan are on hold until Friday, June 20, the airline added.

Several other flights are experiencing delays or rerouting as a result.

“Passengers connecting through Sharjah or Abu Dhabi with final destinations in any of the above flights will not be accepted for travel at their point of origin until further update,” the airline added. Air Arabia also operates out of Abu Dhabi.

Etihad Airways

In Abu Dhabi, Etihad Airways announced that flights to and from Beirut had been rescheduled for June 21.

EY581 will depart Abu Dhabi (AUH) at 10am and arrive in Beirut (BEY) at 1.10pm, the airline said. Meanwhile, flight EY582 will depart Beirut at 2.05pm and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 7pm. EY583 will departs Abu Dhabi at 2pm, arriving in Beirut at 5.05pm, while EY584 will depart Beirut at 6pm and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 10.55pm.

Emirates airline

Dubai-based Emirates had earlier announced temporary suspension of all flights to Jordan (Amman) and Lebanon (Beirut), until and including Sunday, June 22, 2025.

Meanwhile, flights to Iran (Tehran) and Iraq (Baghdad and Basra) will be suspended until and including Monday, June 30, 2025.

Dubai carrier flydubai had earlier announced the suspension of flights to Iran, Iraq, Israel, Syria until June 30.

“Passengers connecting through Dubai with final destinations in any of the above countries or airports will not be accepted for travel at their point of origin until further notice,” the airline said.
