UAE cueists beaten

The UAE lost to Malaysia in the snooker team event prequarterfinals held last evening at Dongju college gymnasium.

They had won the morning match defeating Qatar 2-1 when Mohammed Al Joker beat Adel Emmadi 3-0 and Mohammed Shehab beat Ahmed Al Sadda 3-0. Eissa Ali lost to Qatari Mohsin Bukshaish 2-3.

However they lost all games against Malaysia. Ooi Fook Yuen beat Mohammed Al Joker 3-1, Chong Tim Sam beat Issa Ali 3-0 and Seng Ng An beat Mohammed Shehab 3-1.

The UAE tennis players led by Omar Behroozian and Mahmoud Nader went down 3-0 to Saudi Arabia in the men's team event held yesterday at the Geumjeong Tennis stadium.

Behroozian lost to Fahd Al Fahd of Saudi Arabia 6-3, 6-4, and Nader lost to Omer Mohammed 6-2, 6-3. They also they lost the double's match 6-4, 6-4.
