Motorists across the UAE should be aware of potential traffic disruptions and parking changes this weekend, Saturday, May 3rd, 2025.

Abu Dhabi partial road closure

The Integrated Transport Centre (AD Mobility) has announced a temporary partial road closure on Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street in Al Ain to facilitate crucial upgrades aimed at improving the city's road infrastructure and ensuring smoother traffic flow.

Motorists travelling on Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street towards Al Ain are advised of the following partial closure: from Saturday, May 3, 2025, to Monday, May 5, 2025.

AD Mobility urges drivers to exercise caution, adhere to traffic signs, and follow instructions from on-site personnel during this period. This temporary closure is essential for the execution of vital infrastructure work that will ultimately benefit the community by enhancing the overall road network.

579 new paid parking spaces in Ajman

Ajman Municipality has announced the activation of 579 new paid parking spaces across three key streets in the emirate, effective today, Saturday, May 3, 2025.

The newly implemented paid parking zones are located on:

  • Al Zaher Street

  • Sheikh Abdullah Bin Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Street

  • Thabit Bin Qais Street

This initiative is part of the Department's ongoing efforts to optimize the organization and management of paid parking usage throughout the emirate. The activation of these spaces aims to improve parking availability, reduce traffic congestion caused by haphazard parking, and ensure a more efficient utilization of public parking resources.

Dubai's RTA announced weekend delays on Emirates Road towards Sharjah.

Delays are expected every weekend until August 30, 2025, according to the RTA

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced expected delays on Emirates Road towards Sharjah, due to ongoing maintenance and rehabilitation works.

Commuters are advised of weekend traffic delays on Emirates Road towards Sharjah, specifically between Dubai-Al Ain Road and the Al Amardhi–Al Awir Road intersection.

Delays are expected every weekend from 5pm to 8pm, continuing until August 30, 2025.

Sharjah announces partial road closure, diversions

Sharjah’s Roads and Transport Authority (Sharjah RTA) announced a partial closure and traffic diversions in Khorfakkan as part of ongoing road improvement efforts aimed at enhancing infrastructure and easing traffic flow.

In a social media post, the authority said the ring road connecting Wadi Washi Square to Khorfakkan Square in the Al Batha 3 area will undergo partial closure to facilitate construction.

The construction works are scheduled to take place from Thursday, April 24, to Friday, May 30.

Maps shared by RTA show the affected routes: lanes marked in red will be closed, while green-marked lanes will remain open to traffic.
