Man in critical condition after being hit by truck

Sharjah: A man is in critical condition after being hit by a speeding truck in Sharjah Free Zone on Friday evening, a Sharjah Police official told Gulf News on Saturday.

The police operations room received a call about the incident at around 6pm. The man had been trying to cross the road in Sharjah Airport International Free Zone when the accident happened.

The 45-year-old Indian victim, identified as M.P.N., was transferred to Al Qasimi Hospital’s intensive care unit.

The driver is in custody at Al Heira Police Station.
