Terry Fox Fund for cancer research collects Dh750,000

Abu Dhabi: Money keeps coming in for the Terry Fox Fund for cancer research, bringing the total to Dh750,000 so far.

The fund, said Farid Dabaghi, Chairman of the Terry Fox Committee (TFC), keeps increasing and the largest amount of money was raised during the 13th annual run held in Abu Dhabi on February 8, 2008.

The run attracted over 10,000 participants and included three challenges, a bank challenge, a business/corporate challenge and a hotel challenge. Awards and trophies were presented to the most active participants during a conference held on Tuesday.
