Your guide to enjoying late evenings for less after breaking your fast with family and friends

Rather than staying at home after Iftar, get out there and enjoy the many sights and activities Dubai has to offer during these Ramadan evenings. It might be the best time to explore even as day time temperatures reach extremes.
Now residents and tourists can swim past sunset till midnight in the illuminated stretch of the Smart Beach, thanks to the newly installed 12-metre Smart Poles at Umm Suqeim 1 Beach. The ‘Smart Beach’, has ‘smart’ poles, ‘smart’ changing rooms and ‘smart’ palms that provide free Wi-Fi service.
Time to slow everything down. Head on over to the Dubai Creek and just watch the serene views of the water and abras coming to life after Iftar. Forget about the posh cruises and prepare your Dh2 for a little abra ride and take a peek into old Dubai’s cultural heritage. You can ride an abra at the Dubai Water Canal, too.
Dubai is just one of the place in the world where people walk the most. This 3.2km promenade connecting the Creek from JW Marriott Marquis Dubai to the Arabian Gulf is becoming a new favourite for those who love to stroll. There are plenty of sitting areas and mobile phone charging stations and waterfalls start at 8pm until 10pm.
Ever wonder how Gal Gadot nailed the ‘Rise of the Warrior’ title? There are so many good movies to choose from and different cinemas that will suit your taste, time and budget. Go ahead and book those tickets to a late night movie. Any movie is going to be so much fun if you’re with a group.
Pack your tents; grab some chips, chairs and tables; and invite friends for an evening camp. Just minutes away from Dubai, located off Emirates and Al Qudra roads without the need to bring a 4x4, you’ll enter Al Qudra Lake where you can roast some marshmallows and share cool stories under the moonlit sky.
Dubai is wide-awake until the wee hours of the night during Ramadan. You can visit Ramadan Night Market at the DWTC from June 1 to 10 or avoid the evening heat by heading to different Dubai malls to grab a few finds at discounted prices.
One sign that you are in Dubai is when you see the glowing park near Zabeel Park. Dubai Garden Glow open from 6pm to 12am so you can definitely have your Iftar at the park and enjoy the lights right after. The friendly light show caters not only to kids but to young once, too. Admission to Dubai Garden Glow is Dh60 per person for a night of magic.
