Based on astronomical calculations, Ramadan is expected to extend to 29 days this year

Dubai: The Dubai Government Human Resources Department has announced that Dubai government departments will observe Eid Al Fitr holiday, starting from the 29th of Ramadan until Shawwal 3, 1444 AH.

On this occasion, Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director General of the Dubai Government Human Resources Department, extended his warmest greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, as well as to Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members, Rulers of the Emirates, Crown Princes, and Deputy Rulers and the people of the UAE.

Based on astronomical calculations, Ramadan is expected to last 29 days this year. This means that the Eid holiday will start on Thursday, April 20.
