Media figures express praise for Mohammad's initiatives

Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Tuesday received at Zabeel Palace leading media figures and editors of newspapers, international news agencies and Arab and foreign television channels working in the UAE.

The meeting was also attended by Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Head of the Dubai Media Corporation; Shaikh Majid Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority; Mohammad Bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs; Saqr Gobash Saeed Gobash, Minister of Labour and other senior officials.

Shaikh Mohammad exchanged Ramadan greetings with those present.

The media figures in turn expressed their appreciation and gratitude to Shaikh Mohammad for his continued support as reflected in the annual get-together.

The invitees also praised Shaikh Mohammad's initiatives and lauded the humanitarian concern behind the launch of the Noor Dubai campaign that aims to cure and prevent blindness.

They also thanked Shaikh Mohammad for allocating a permanent headquarter for the journalist's association in the UAE, and establishing the Mohammad Bin Rashid Media College at the American University in Dubai in cooperation with the South California Media College.
