Dubai: Two pairs of twins born on UAE’s 43rd National Day brought double delight to two sets of parents at RAK Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah.

Mana Ali Jasmi and his wife welcomed their double bundle of joy – Thani, a boy, and Mahra, a girl, while Khalifa Al Hammadi and his wife were overwhelmed with joy at the birth of twin girls Fatima and Mariam.

Both couples said the arrival of the newborns had doubled their joy on National Day.

Both sets of twins were born through Caesarian section and are fraternal twins.

Keeping up with their tradition of always giving back to the community and marking the special day, RAK Hospital announced that all babies born on National Day at the hospital will receive free out-patient paediatric consultations for the first year of their lives.

Dr. J.M. Gauer, Chief Executive Officer at RAK Hospital, said: “There couldn’t have been a better day for the arrival of these little wonders and to mark the occasion we will be providing free paediatric consultations to all babies born today (Tuesday) at our hospital. The parents are ecstatic and so are we to celebrate the National Day with these little angels.”
