Shaikha Hoor Bint Sultan Al Qasimi appointed chairperson
Sharjah: An institute has been set up in Sharjah to acquaint people with Africans and their heritage, culture and contribution to human civilisation.
The African Institute was set up through a decree issued on Wednesday by His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
A decree was also issued naming Shaikha Hoor Bint Sultan Al Qasimi chairperson of the institute.
The institute will also showcase African-Arab relations, and work on documenting these historic relations.
