Fire breaks out in Sharjah construction site

Sharjah: A fire broke out in a building under construction in Al Majaz area of Sharjah on Tuesday afternoon, Colonel Sami Khamis Al Naqbi, director-general of Sharjah Civil Defence told Gulf News. According to initial investigation, the fire started in a pile of building material waste at 12.16pm.

Firefighters from Al Mina and Al Nahda stations controlled the blaze and prevented it from spreading to the rest of the site. No injuries were reported.

The site was handed over to the forensic experts to investigate the cause of the fire.
