Strong wind and rain expected to hit UAE in the next 48 hours
Al Ain: A new wave of westerly winds is expected to hit the country from Wednesday evening, bringing in clouds and chances of rain in the next 48 hours.
Weathermen also expect strong winds, blowing at a speed of 25 knots, to kick up dust and sand in different parts of the emirates. "We are expecting another fall in temperature," said an official of the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS).
According to the NCMS forecaster, it would be partly cloudy to cloudy at times with chances of rain. It would also be cold at night and in the mountainous areas. Strong winds will also generate seven to 10 feet high waves in the sea, making it rough.
The maximum temperature on Wednesday was 33 degree Celsius in Al Ain and 30 degree Celsius in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Um Al Quwain.
