Egyptian man, Indonesian woman held for adultery
Two people have been arrested on charges of adultery.
An Indonesian woman approached the Public Prosecution, saying an Egyptian man was the father of her son, but was denying it. She claimed she had an affair with the man for a year.
The woman further claimed the man, on hearing she was pregnant, asked her to have an abortion, which she refused.
Police questioned the Egyptian, who reportedly admitted the affair, but alleged that the woman was seeing others and that the child was not his.
He said he had stopped seeing the woman a long time ago. The case will now go to court while DNA tests have been ordered to establish the child's parentage.
