The false message, which listed Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, and attributed the notice to Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, has no official validity.
In an official alert on Twitter, CBSE HQ (@cbseindia29) stated:
“Important Alert!! This is a fake circular.”
Students and schools are urged to rely only on official CBSE communications for exam schedules and updates, and to disregard any unofficial messages.
The Board has postponed Class 12 board exams in parts of the Middle East, including the UAE, originally scheduled from March 12 to March 16, 2026. New dates will be announced in due course.
The Board will review the situation on March 14 before finalising remaining exams from 16 March onwards. Students have been advised to stay in touch with their schools and follow official updates.
Earlier, all Class 10 exams ( March 2–11) were cancelled, and several Class 12 exams scheduled between March 2–11 were postponed amid ongoing regional tensions. CBSE reiterated that student and teacher safety remains the top priority.
