‘It’s unbelievable,’ says Nair; Lebanese expat wins after trying for 17 years
Dubai: Lightning has struck twice for Ratheeshkumar Raveendran Nair – the Indian expat from Kerala has won big again in the Dubai Duty Free draw held at Concourse A of Dubai International Airport.
The 45-year-old, who works as an account manager in Dubai, bagged a brand-new BMW 740i M Sport in the Finest Surprise Series 1925 with ticket number 0255, which he purchased online on May 28.
This isn’t his first brush with fortune. In May 2019, Nair had won a whopping $1 million in the Millennium Millionaire Series 300 with ticket number 1608.
“It’s unbelievable! Winning for the second time feels like incredible luck, especially after my first win. I can hardly believe it happened again. Thank you so much!” said the elated father of one, who has lived in Dubai for 15 years.
Meanwhile, Faical El Aawar, a 49-year-old Lebanese expat and a Dubai resident for 25 years, also struck gold – winning an Aprilia RSV4 Factory 1100 motorbike in Finest Surprise Series 629.
El Aawar, a sales operations manager and father of two, scored the prize with ticket number 0141, which he purchased on June 30 from Concourse D at Dubai International Airport. He has been participating in the Dubai Duty Free promotion for 17 years now and is jubilant at finally winning.
“You’ve made my dream come true! I’ve been buying tickets for as long as I can remember – online and in-store – and now I’m beyond thrilled to finally be one of the winners!” he said.
