Sharjah: A 44-year-old Syrian man tragically lost his life after falling from a high-rise building in the Al Taawun area of Sharjah.

The incident occurred around 11pm on January 31, Sharjah Police revealed on Wednesday. The man, identified as M.A., was discovered by passers-by who immediately contacted emergency services. Police, CID, and national ambulance teams responded swiftly to the scene.

They found the victim lying on the ground in a pool of blood. Despite efforts to assist, authorities confirmed that M.A. had sustained fatal injuries from the fall. His body was transported to the hospital shortly before 11:30pm and later moved to the forensic lab for an autopsy.

While the cause of the fall is still under investigation, authorities are focusing on determining whether it was a suicide. They are also considering other potential explanations, including foul play, though no further details have been disclosed.
