Butt cracks unbeaten ton to steer Dulsco to emphatic win over Jashanmal
Skipper Sajid Butt steered Dulsco to an emphatic win over Jashanmal through a unbeaten century in the Mobil Cup cricket tournament being organised by Dubai Cricket Council.
Butt hit an unbeaten 123 that resulted in Tariq's 131 for Jashanmal going in vain. Dulsco overcome Jashanmal's total of 246 for 6 losing just three wickets.
In another match Shafqat Ehsan was the match winner for Abu Dhabi Gymkhana against Transgulf. Transgulf scored 170 runs through Ismail 70 (30b, 4x6, 6x4) while Muthu made a patient 44 in 47 balls.
Abu Dhabi Gymkhana batsmen ran riot as openers Naeem Shaikh and Shafqat Ehsan rattled the Transgulf bowling to race to an eight wicket win. Naeem scored a rapid 50 (9x4, 1x6) while man of the match Shafqat Ehsan scored a elegant 75 (11x4) to finish the game in 19.5 overs.
Gulf Cobla and Seven Seas entered the final of the Oasis Chemicals Cup held at the Seven Seas cricket ground in Al Qouz area and Unimix grounds, under the auspices of the Dubai Cricket Council.
In the first semi-final of the day, Gulf Cobla beat new comers Challengers Club by five wickets.
In the second semi-final, Seven Seas kept up to its reputation by comfortably defeating Habib Bank AG Zurich by six wickets.
