Al Bayan ownership to change hands

The ownership of Al Bayan Press, Publishing and Printing Est. will be handed over to Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) following a decree issued by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, ordering the transfer of the Dubai-based establishment, according to the official news agency WAM.

The decree calls for the transfer of all assets, properties, commitments and rights of Al-Bayan to DMI and so shall Al-Bayan's staff and workers in a move aimed to boost media work and unify the efforts of media practice in Dubai for better media services to the general public.

The decree takes effect from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

With the transfer, Al Bayan will become an integral part of DMI, which has under five TV channels under its umbrella.

The DMI family includes Dubai TV, Sama Dubai, Dubai One, Dubai Sports Channel and Dubai Racing.
