During high tide, you can reach these islands by boats, which can be booked in advance at the resort. You can also opt for the services offered by fishermen for half the price.

The sea is safe at most times for swimming. However, you can enjoy the temperature-controlled pool at the resort, which also offers jacuzzi, sauna, squash, tennis and other recreational activities.

The nearby Sawadi and Daymaniyat islands are ideal for snorkelling and diving and there are diving and snorkelling trips. The resort conducts various dive courses.

"We now have 30 different dive sites around the islands. Both dives last up to 50 minutes and are conducted during the same trip," Poornima Bhatt of Al Sawadi Beach Resort said.
