Tag Heuer’s new-gen Connected Watch is here

Tag Heuer has recently launched the latest version of its Connected Watch, the Calibre E4, at its HQ in Switzerland. For the first time, it comes in two different case sizes for greater usability – namely the 45 mm case and the newly introduced 42 mm option.

For maximum adaptability, the Calibre E4’s redesigned 45 mm model is built from a robust ceramic bezel, large diameter crown, and a battery that lasts 30 per cent longer. The new 42 mm model, meanwhile features a slender case, thinner bezel, and ergonomic steel pushers.

Apart from the stunning physical appearance, the new watch also gives users the choice to pick from a curated selection of “11 trendsetting designs and artistic animations”. In fact, the new “Riverside” watchface on the Calibre E4 42 mm boasts a stunning, immersive and futuristic effect of time elapsing. Additionally, the contrast on the watchface has been upped for the latest iteration, ensuring better visibility even in bright sunlight.

Technology-wise, there are several enhancements to the model’s connectivity features. For starters, the new Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity affords a robust link to the phone. The range of sports, health and activity features have also been bolstered. Apart from covering sports such as running, cycling and swimming, the Calibre E4 also has a guided workout system, which does not require your smartphone to be in the vicinity, making it perfect for on-the-go sporting activities.

It also features a new charging system, which also doubles up as a stand for the watch. Furthermore, it is designed to ensure that even while charging the watchface is visible from a variety of angles.
