Navratilova in talks for academy

Dubai: Tennis superstar Martina Navratilova has revealed that she is in talks about the possibility of opening an academy in Dubai.

Navratilova, who teed off with Ernie Els on Monday, said that nothing has been agreed at this stage.

And perhaps Els, who is desperate to get his hands on the two Major trophies that have so far eluded him, was hoping some of Navratilova's winning ways will rub off.

"We are just talking about it," she said of the possibility of an academy. "But I want to be able to give children who would never otherwise be able to afford to play the game, the chance to get involved in tennis."
