Shaikh Mohammad meets Queen Elizabeth at Epsom racecourse

Their talks touched on the importance of the English Derby

London: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Saturday met Queen Elizabeth II of the UK and the Commonwealth, on the sidelines of the Epsom Derby at Epsom Downs Racecourse.

They discussed the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The talks touched on the importance of the English Derby, which was held for the first time in 1780, and is one the most prestigious races in the world.

Present at the event were Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, a number of Shaikhs and senior officials.

Godolphin team achieved an important victory in one of Derby’s strongest races. Shaikh Hamdan received the trophy.
