LOOK: The Race to Dubai contenders at the DP World Tour Championship

Collin Morikawa - The Champion Golf of the Year is in pole position to become the first American to lift the Harry Vardon trophy after wins at both The Open Championship and WGC at the Concession. Along with those wins, the 24-year-old posted impressive results in the Major Championships with top tens at the U.S. Open and U.S. PGA Championship and a top 20 at the Masters Tournament.

Billy Horschel - American star Horschel sits just behind compatriot Morikawa in the Rankings after victory at the BMW PGA Championship in September, the European Tour's flagship event. That win saw him become the first American to win a Rolex Series event, which he will be looking to repeat on the Earth course this week.

Tyrrell Hatton - The Englishman started the year with a bang after winning the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, while a top six finish in Saudi, coupled with a runner-up finish at the Alfred Links Dunhill Championship, sees Hatton come into the Dubai finale in fourth on the Race to Dubai.

Min Woo Lee - The Australian jumped up to fifth in the Rankings with his third successive top ten at the Aviv Dubai Championship last week, following a runner-up finish at the Andalucía Masters and a tie for eighth in Portugal. Secured the biggest win of his career with a maiden Rolex Series triumph at the Scottish Open earlier this year.

Matt Fitzpatrick - The two-time and defending DP World Tour Championship winner is yet to be crowned European Tour Number One, but a win this week could put him well on his way to lifting the Harry Vardon trophy. Secured a seventh European Tour title last month at the Andalucía Masters, and has only finished outside the top 12 of the DP World Tour Championship on one occasion.

Paul Casey - This year's Dubai Desert Classic champion played just his second solely European Tour sanctioned event since February at last week's Aviv Dubai Championship, but finds himself in seventh on the Race to Dubai thanks to his triumph in Dubai and strong showings in the four Majors. Will only be playing in his fifth DP World Tour Championship, but a win this week could put him right in the mix for the season-long title.

Richard Bland - The Englishman finally got his hands on a European Tour title at the 478th time of asking earlier this year with a fairytale win at the British Masters. Seven more top tens have followed since that victory to leave him in eighth on the Race to Dubai. A win this week could see him secure the Race to Dubai - what a finish to a brilliant year that would be.

Abraham Ancer - Will make just his third solely sanctioned European Tour appearance this week, but finds himself ranked ninth in the Race to Dubai thanks to his win at the WGC - St Jude Invitational.

Bernd Wiesberger - Austrian finished runner-up at the Aviv Dubai Championship to jump up to the top ten of the Race to Dubai ahead of the season-ending event. Picked up his eighth European Tour title earlier this year at the Made in Himmerland with a five-stroke triumph over Guido Miggliozi.
