A seven-star golf treat

Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Golf Championship's star-studded field has an added incentive this year - a room for life at the 7-star Emirates Palace Hotel.

Awarded to the player that hits a hole-in-one on what is arguably one of the most challenging holes on the course, the pin-point tee shot will have to steer clear of the water to the front and right and land on the meandering green, which is bordered by treacherous bunkers.

"We all know how rare it is to sink a hole-in one. However, any player on any given day has a chance of making this epic shot.

"With the massive depth of talent on display at this year's event, it is quite possible that the stunning National Course could see its first Championship 'ace'," said Peter German, executive tournament director, Abu Dhabi Golf Championship.
