Abu Dhabi: Spaniard midfielder, Francesco Yeste, expressed his happiness in returning to the UAE and is optimistic of the fortunes of his new club, Bani Yas in the Etisalat Pro-League this season.
Yeste played for Al Wasl in the 2010-11 season and achieved satisfying success but when the club brought in Argentine coach Diego Maradona, he thought the Spaniard was not the type of player his team needs and Yeste left for Europe.
"I am happy to return to the UAE. I have great memories and I really like living here." Yeste said after signing the contract with Bani Yas. "I am grateful for the warm reception from the officials and my colleagues and I will do my best to add something to the team."
Yeste said he knew a lot about Bani Yas against whom he played last season and that he has a score to settle with those who thought he was not capable to be a good addition to Al Wasl.
Bani Yas will face Ajman today.
