Dubai: The UAE under-20 football team will assemble in Abu Dhabi on July 1 for a training camp before leaving on July 17 for a 25 day training camp in Germany.
The youth training camps in Abu Dhabi and Germany are in preparation for the Asian youth cup finals in India from October 29 to November 12. The top four teams will qualify for the World youth championship in Canada next year.
The 26 players will undergo medical checks in Abu Dhabi before leaving for Germany.
The UAE team under French coach Jaques Bonfaih will play four warm - up matches with youth teams during the training camp in Germany.
The FA technical committee decided to cancel another planned training camp in Malaysia in September.
Saeed Abdullah an FA technical committee member, said: "Most of the youth team members are key players in their senior teams and play with them in the league tournament.
Taking them to the Malaysia training camp would affect their teams if we take into consideration the absence of other key players with the senior national team preparing for the Asian Cup qualifiers," he said.
Meanwhile the senior national team under new coach Bruno Metsu will gather next week for their training camps in Switzerland and France in preparation for the West Asian tournament in Lebanon at the end of July.
