India’s Varun Chakravarthy has built a reputation for tormenting batters with his bag of tricks, and the mystery spinner will be one of the key weapons in the Champions Trophy final against New Zealand at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Chakravarthy has already caused problems for the Black Caps, having dismantled them with a five-wicket haul in just his second One-Day International during India’s 44-run win in the Group A clash. His ability to outfox batters with a carefully planned sequence of variations has made him a major threat in India’s bowling attack.

On Friday, at the ICC Academy, the spinner was seen honing his craft, preparing to bamboozle New Zealand once again. With the stakes at their highest, all eyes will be on Chakravarthy as he looks to spin India to glory.
