END OF STOKES’S FIGHT: Sri Lanka’s Lahiru Kumara celebrates with teammates after taking the wicket of England’s Ben Stokes (third left) for 43, and England became 137/8. Stokes had added 37 runs for the sixth wicket with Moeen Ali (15). Ali and Chris Woakes were dismissed in quick succession before Stokes followed them.

SRI LANKA COAST TO VICTORY: Sri Lanka’s Sadeera Samarawickrama in action against England. After a rocky start, losing the wickets of Kusal Pereira and Kusal Mendis, Samarawickrama (65 not out) and Pathum Nissanka (77 not out) forged an unbeaten 137-run partnership to take Sri Lanka to victory.
