Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah says he is not asking for "crazy stuff" in ongoing contract negotiations with the Premier League club. The Egypt international has less than 18 months left on his current deal and wants the club to show appreciation for what he has helped them achieve. Salah has previously stated his desire to stay with the club but says it is not in his hands. Barcelona and Real Madrid are monitoring the situation closely and may make an offer for the 30-year-old star before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month. Liverpool would be able to command a much higher transfer fee now if they were to sell but if Salah runs down his existing deal without signing an extension then he would be able to leave on a free, and that is something the Reds will be desperate to avoid.
