All the women, take a bow

Science might have evolved leaps and bounds from test tube babies to IVF to fixing the DNA for getting rid of the birth defects, however, we have not yet invented an AI or robot to mimic the life-giving conditions of the womb. That is still done by the a mother.

Women today are not only life giving beings, they have evolved to be a great force to reckon with, they are, strong world leaders; successful space scientists; accomplished artists, philanthropists, strong journalists and so much more, in every avenue.

One of the pioneering women of our times also happens to be one of the youngest Nobel laureates, Malala Yousafzai, she has been doing exemplary work for uplifting the girl child and giving girls all over the world, the inherent right to education. Her nonprofit organization has been helping to raise funds for education of the girl child in the developing world, good news is that Apple inc is partnering with her in helping the cause further.

Understanding the need for education is essential. Education has to go beyond the regular subjects and one of the basic subjects we need to teach is moral education which UAE has taken a great step to incorporate as part of the curriculum.

Respect, tolerance and honesty these are the essence of life, if one gender respects the other we would not have the need for campaigns like #metoo and #times up.

Women or men complete and complement each other and one of the basic needs of the hour is not to objectify females. Each woman has an identity, she could be a nurturing mother, a loving wife, a multitasker who juggles the various roles of being a career oriented successful entrepreneur and a homemaker, she is the teacher who inspires. Women know well how to balance the various roles that life offers them with. They flourish better with support from their male counterparts.

We need to acknowledge that men and women are a team woven together in a strong fabric of love, respect and understanding. Both should have equal rights and opportunities.
