Dubai: When you apply for a visit visa to the UAE, whether for a sibling or a relative, you may need make a security deposit.

Here we explain what are the regulations surrounding deposits and how much you need to pay.

However, if you apply through a typing centre or a tourist agency, you could possibly avoid paying the deposit. You may also need to present less paperwork as the agency is the sponsor. Amer offices require that UAE residents applying for a visit visa provide documents like an Arabic salary certificate, the latest electricity and water bill and tenancy contract.
