COVID-19: You can now put your family’s UAE visa on hold

As GDRFA centres across the UAE open, here is how you can avail the service

As government workers returned to offices and Dubai offices now operating at 50 per cent capacity, GDRFA offices also reopened. You can now put your family visa on hold if you are moving jobs.

In Dubai, you can apply for the service at Al Manara Centre and Al Twar Centre.

In other emirates, Tasheel centres are open and accepting GDRFA related processes.

What does it mean to put your family visa on hold?

If you are changing jobs, your employment visa would also get cancelled and applied under the new sponsor.

With your visa changing, you would also need to cancel your dependent's visa, unless you can put it on hold.

You can request for the service by depositing an amount of Dh5,000, which is refundable.

1. Offer letter (From Tasheel or MOHRE).

You would also need to be prepared to deposit Dh5,000

Once you have completed the process, you would have 30 days to get the new visa stamped.

Once your new visa is stamped, simply visit the branch again to get your deposit back.
