Lost for a song? This Valentine's day, tabloid! gets some of the UAE's top DJs to share their favourite love tunes to help get you right into the mood

Who: Kenny
What: Breakfast with Kenny & Accalia (eekdays, 6-10am) on Radio 2
"I've had the blues, the reds the pinks — one thing's for sure... LOVE STINKS!" This track stirs memories of a bash called "Single and Ready to Mingle" and Love Stinks by J. Geils band was our anthem. Needless to say, Cupid had nothin' on us.
Who: Mylo
What: Mylo's Late Drive (weekdays, 7pm-10pm) on Radio 1
As an expat living away from my girlfriend in the UK — and as soppy as this sounds — Back Home (by Gym Class Heroes) says it all, really. I miss her immensely and the line that sets the goosebumps off has to be "I left the keys under the mat to our front door". Hopefully my card and surprise plane ticket to the UAE will keep her interested this Valentine's Day!
Who: Saif
What: Saturday Drive (Saturdays, 4-7pm) on Radio 1
I can generally describe Rolling in the Deep by Adele with three adjectives: Dark, thrilling, and powerful. This empowering song makes me feel like taking on the world — it starts off dramatic with guitar strings, then slowly building up. Adele has managed to portray genuine intense emotions into the song with her soulful voice. It is certainly one to be listened to on constant repeat.
Who: Rakesh
What: Nights with Rakesh (weeknights, 10pm-1am) on Radio 2
More Than Words by Extreme is one song that sums up Valentine's Day for me. Love is more than words... Saying "I love you" doesn't mean anything to me if it doesn't come from deep within. Say it if you mean it, otherwise stay put.
Who: Diggers
What: Drive with Diggers (weekdays, 4-7pm) on Radio 2
I love The Babys' Isn't It Time, because of the raw emotion of the lyric: "I just can't find the answers to the questions that keep going through my mind..." and dreamy piano introduction. John Waite sang the lead vocals in 1977 and it still sends shivers of past love through my veins.
Who: Surina Kelly
What: The One Breakfast Show (weekdays, 6am-10am) on Radio 1
Emeli Sande's Next to Me has to be the most appropriate for Valentine's Day. It just gets me, because the lyrics remind me of my special Valentine, no joke! It sounds soppy, but it's true — he really is "next to me" and always there for me. It's empowering, it makes you feel good about your loved one and makes everything right.
Who: Danny C
What: The One Breakfast Show (weekdays, 6-10am) on Radio 1
So you're all set for the best V-day ever, but what's the first tune to set the mood? For me it's got to be just about any song from Alicia keys. She's incredible at setting that soulful romantic mood. In particular I'd suggest If I ain't Got You — says everything you want to say.
Who: Flo
What: The One Breakfast Show (weekdays, 6am-10am) on Radio 1
A slow, lively (heart)beat on a calm romantic melody. Alicia Keys's Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready) is what a Valentine's song is for me. This song is about impossible love between a woman and a man who found their way after all, just like Cupid's arrow finds your heart.
Who: Nick Robinson
Wat: Afternoons (weekdays, 1-4pm) on Radio 1
One of the hottest tracks on Radio 1 at the moment, Twilight's Cover Drive is all about two people that have found love after knowing each other and playing games for a time. It reminds me of the special time when you first meet someone and everything is right in the world.
Who: Sheena
What: The Sheena Show (weekdays, 10am-1pm) on Radio 1
Miguel's Sure Thing is all about how two people are a perfect fit — like a painter and a muse, a reporter and the news, a writer and a quote or a lyric and a note. Not only are the words of the song cleverly put together, but Miguel's smooth voice melts my heart every time I hear it.
Who: Simon B
What: B in the PM (weekdays 4-7pm) on Radio 1
Not only is Beautiful People the best rap/house crossover to date but it sends a lovely message. Chris Brown tells us that we're all beautiful and shows us the beauty within. I think there's always lonely people on Valentine's Day and I reckon this song will help them take their minds off it, and for those of us fortunate to be with someone, it's a reminder of how lucky we are.
