Dubai’s Safa Park closed till Thursday

Closure is in preparation for Dubai Fitness Challenge inaugural events this weekend

Dubai: Safa Park will remain closed this week in preparation for the Dubai Fitness Challenge, Dubai Municipality announced on Sunday.

The park located off Shaikh Zayed Road in Al Safa area was shut on Saturday. It will remain closed for the public till Thursday.

This is to facilitate the arrangements for the inaugural events to be held this weekend for the Dubai Fitness Challenge. The public will be invited to participate in the events taking place at Safa Park on October 20 and 21, the civic body said on its social media pages.

Running from October 20 to November 18, Dubai Fitness Challenge announced by Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, urges residents to take up 30 minutes of fitness activities for 30days.

Legendary sports stars and other celebrities are expected to take part at the inaugural event on Friday.
