Abu Dhabi: Eight street vendors were found to be peddling their wares illegally during a recent municipal inspection in the capital’s Bani Yas suburb, the Abu Dhabi City Municipality announced in a statement sent on Monday.

In addition, inspectors detected eight abandoned farms and nine new farms where no activity was being undertaken.

Inspectors tried to raise awareness in the community during the campaign, which also covered areas like Al Shawamekh and Al Wathba, about various public health hazards, while also urging desert camp dwellers to follow safety regulations.
