Zulekha Healthcare Group and Careem Partner honour Careem captains with special iftar and awards ceremony

Zulekha Healthcare Group in collaboration with Careem, celebrated the spirit of heroism this Ramadan through its “True Heroes” initiative honoring Careem Captains in the UAE. Launched in 2019, the initiative aims to recognize the individuals who inspire our communities with acts of care, service, and love. These everyday heroes—often unsung—are those who make a difference with their selflessness, whether through small acts of kindness or through lifelong commitments to helping others.

This year, and as part of the “True Heroes” initiative, Zulekha Healthcare Group partnered with Careem and hosted a special Iftar & Award Ceremony dedicated to 80 Captains, the unsung heroes of everyday life.

Captains are the backbone of the Careem app, which millions of people rely on for multiple offerings including rides, food and grocery deliveries and more. Their dedication and commitment make these services possible. Their impact goes even beyond what customers see, as they continuously demonstrate a commitment towards their community, by helping those around them when needed, and displaying selfless acts of kindness that often go unnoticed.

At the special event, Zulekha Healthcare Group and Careem recognized and celebrated Careem Captains for the vital role they play in our community, and their everyday contributions. Additionally, Haramain Perfumes also joined the teams presenting gifts to Captains as part of the initiative.
