Supermodel Elle Macpherson engaged

Los Angeles: Elle Macpherson is engaged to Jeffrey Soffer, multiple sources reported on Monday. The former Fashion Star host plans to move to Florida to be with her Miami-based billionaire real estate developer fiance, a source told Access Hollywood, which first reported the story.

Macpherson, 49, and Soffer, 43, are said to have dated for two years before breaking up last March. They reportedly rekindled their romance when Soffer injured his vertebrae in November after a helicopter crash, Us Weekly reported. People magazine also confirmed the engagement with a source of its own and said there was no word yet on a wedding date. The Aussie supermodel has been married once before, to fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon. They were married for about three years before divorcing in 1989. She also has two children with her ex-boyfriend Arpad Busson, 15-year-old Arpad Flynn and 10-year-old Aurelius Cy. This is also Soffer’s second marriage.

Macpherson made headlines in June 2012 when she announced that she would no longer host the NBC design competition series Fashion Star, which premiered its second season last Friday. Designer Louise Roe, Glamour magazine’s editor-at-large, now serves as the host, but Macpherson still remains on as one of the show’s executive producers.
