Volvo reveals a sleeker S60, ready to hit the roads early next year
Style has never been a selling point for Volvo, a name that has established itself as a synonym for safety. But if new launches are anything to go by, the Swedish automobile company is getting serious about style.
The 2011 S60 saloon follows the sleek new styling direction first seen in the XC60 crossover launched last year. To be unveiled officially at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2010, the new model will start rolling off the assembly line later that year.
The next generation S60 looks significantly different from the current model, with sleeker, much bolder lines and a heavily sloping roofline. Although Volvo claims the car will be sportier and more dynamic than before, no major surprises are expected to spring up from under the bonnet, as the car is likely to be powered by variants of existing powerplants.
