Haifa + 50 Cent = mega concert

Lebanese national treasure Haifa Wehbe and US rapper-megastar 50 Cent came together to perform at the Beirut International Exhibition and Leisure Centre (BIEL) on Saturday night.

Billed as "The Biggest Ever Show in Lebanon", the concert saw a young crowd wave camera phones, scream lyrics and generally show their approval in a manner fit to burst the eardrums.

Panned

But the show left the reviewer at The Daily Star cold.

The report said Haifa "began with an underwhelming turn on stage" and that her "sexual romp won only half-hearted applause"

The verdict: "The audience's unflagging energy ultimately saved the concert."
