Dubai: The wait is over! The third season of Alice in Borderland is arriving sooner than you think.

The hit Japanese thriller show which is based on the acclaimed manga by Haro Aso, dives deeper into the realm between life and death. The manga follows a gamer, Arisu, who finds himself in a version of Tokyo he’s never seen before – strange and emptied out. Arisu and his friends then have to compete in dangerous games in order to survive.

The hit show starring Kento Yamazaki as Ryohei Arisu, first premiered in 2020 and went on to have two thrilling seasons. Creators of the show and Netflix, in a statement on July 7, announced the third season of the series will release on September 25.

The teaser trailer for season 3 gives us a hint at what we can expect in the new season. Arisu and Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya) who return to the real world, happily married. However, the two still see Borderland either in their dream or as hallucinations.

One day, Usagi is abducted and left unconscious and Arisu decides to get her back safe, even if it means going back to Borderland. He then joins new players to face the “Joker” stage of the game.

The cast includes new and returning actors including, Hayato Isomura, Ayaka Miyoshi, Katsuya Maiguma, Koji Ohkura, Risa Sudou, Hiroyuki Ikeuchi, Tina Tamashiro, Kotaro Daigo, Hyunri, Sakura Kiryu, Kento Kaku, and more.
