South Indian star Shobana to perform in Dubai

Acclaimed dancer and Indian National Award winning actress Shobana will perform in Dubai on December 9.

The concert, titled The Spirit of Dance, will be held at the Shaikh Rashid Auditorium, featuring Shobana’s diverse styles of dance forms, ranging from classical to Indian folk and fusion.

With more than 200 films to her credit, the South Indian actress has performed her dance and theatre productions to packed houses around the globe.

“Shobana is putting together an interesting mix of music and dance genres for her upcoming show. There will be something to satisfy every palate. Bharatanatyam for the classical dance connoisseur, Indian folk dance for the folk lover, choreography set to Sufi music for those seeking the ethereal in dance and lots more,” said Vinod Raghavan, director and CEO of organisers, Tambourine Live.

Tickets for the event start at Dh75 and are now on sale. Gates open at 7.30pm.
