After being muchos jelly over Farah’s cruise to Muscat last week, I really need a holiday! But, whilst I’m prepping my dream vacay, this week, I’m heading to Pierchic ce soir for dinner. Haven’t been there in ages, and have awesome new Ted Baker dress to wear. On Saturday, if anyone is going to the races at Meydan, make sure you come over and say ‘hi’, as I’m handing out a winner’s cup to whoever triumphs in the Scene sponsored race (Lucy is more excited about putting together my outfit than I am!). And Monday will see me at one of my fave spots, the Dubai Marina Yacht Club, to view the new collection of one of my fave brands, Koton – I’ll be sure to report back. Kisses, Scenesters!

This Thursday night I’m having a bar-hop night with the girls – I think we’re going to start at DIFC and catch the after-work crowd at The Gramercy and Zuma before heading to Mahiki. I’ve not made it there yet, so I think it’s high time I tried a cocktail the size of my head (it’s all Farah talks about). On Friday I’m going to have a detox day (and by detox day I mean go for a walk and not eat junk food – not go on a juice-fast) and part of that will be a visit to Balance Wellness Centre for a yoga class. I’ve just discovered it and love it thanks to the ultra-luxe changing rooms and the spa feel – oh, and the teachers are amazing. Friday night I’m getting my jazz on at the Du World Music Festival to catch Gabrielle and jazz legend George Benson. I’m already anticipating losing my voice thanks to major sing-alongs to tunes like Out Of Reach. Wednesday I’m definitely visiting Oeno at The Westin for the new connoisseurs night: Dh150 for three hours of grape tastings. Before you know it I’ll be one of those people who swills and spits!

The Dubai World Cup is mere weeks away, and as anyone who knows me will tell you, I love getting dressed up for this event. So, this weekend, I’ll be heading over to Oasis Fashions at Wafi with a handful of my equally dress-up obsessed girlfriends to snap up one of their amazing creations in plenty of time for the world’s richest horse race. I’m thinking Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady as inspiration – I is proper posh, after all! And after all that hat shopping, I’ll be donning my best bikini and checking out the brand new and super-swanky beach club, Blue Marlin Ibiza. Said to be the hippest place to hang out in the region, celeb-style, I’m looking forward to seeing exactly how the A-list choose to cultivate their tan lines. Pass the sunscreen!

Continuing on my streak of seeing before-my-time bands, I’m heading off to see Bob Geldof this evening and I can’t wait for the Boomtown Rat’s greatest hits. Plus, I’m holding out for a mid-March rendition of Do They Know It’s Christmas? Hopefully Peaches won’t make an appearance, she’s at the top of my celeb ‘miss list’. Then, I’m having a bit of a detox and all-things-well-being day at the Amara Spa; the Scene team can’t get enough of it and I’ve not been there yet, so it’s only fair I head along and see what all the fuss is about – I can’t wait for my Ruby Massage. I might even go for an ear candle treatment, that will be something to tick off my bucket list! Then the absolutely inevitable will happen, I’ll be throwing the detox out the window because it’s St Paddy’s Day and that means just one thing; a day at the Irish Village.
