Bala's ex-wife has slammed her former husband, claiming rape and cheating
South Indian actor Bala’s personal life has been making headlines again, this time following allegations from his ex-wife, Elizabeth Udayan.
After two previous marriages—with Amrutha Suresh and Elizabeth Udayan —he recently tied the knot with Kokila. However, soon after the wedding, Elizabeth accused him of rape and domestic harassment, stating that she still feels threatened by him, leading to a judicial case. She has also alleged that Bala was unfaithful to her during their marriage.
Now, Bala’s current wife, Kokila, has spoken out in his defense, questioning Elizabeth’s claims. In a video shared on social media, Kokila alleged that Elizabeth, while criticising Bala, had kept her own marriage to a doctor under wraps. She urged Elizabeth to move on and focus on her present life rather than revisiting the past.
Adding another layer to the controversy, Kokila claimed that despite Elizabeth being known as a doctor, she has been on medication for over 15 years.
“Your husband is a doctor, isn’t he? Then speak about him first. Let the world know the truth. Live happily with the doctor you married. Stop troubling my husband,” she said in her video message.
Kokila further stated that Bala had chosen to remain silent despite the allegations, believing that the truth would stand on its own. She insisted that Elizabeth’s accusations had unfairly damaged Bala’s reputation and called for an end to the public back-and-forth.
This latest chapter in Bala’s personal life unfolded after he and Kokila spoke about their new life together in an interview. What began as a simple conversation soon turned into a heated debate when Elizabeth publicly responded, alleging that Bala had betrayed her by getting involved with other women.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth Udayan has not backed down from her allegations.
According to The News Minute, she has accused Bala of domestic abuse and filed a police complaint, citing years of harassment. In a report by Hindustan Times, Bala was criticised for stating that Elizabeth "needs medical attention, not social media attention," a remark that drew backlash. Onmanorama further reported that Elizabeth confirmed a previous marriage to a doctor, stating that Bala had helped her obtain a divorce.
She also claimed Bala had assaulted her and misbehaved in front of another person. However, Bala defended himself by saying he would pursue legal action against YouTubers spreading misinformation about him.
Bala also urged everyone to leave him and his new wife alone and also denied all accusations of sexual misconduct.
Bala and his wife Kokila submitted a complaint before the Kochi Police Commissioner against Elizabeth and YouTuber Aju Alex, popularly known by his stage name ‘Chekuthan’. The couple met officials on Sunday, March 16, and Bala’s lawyer confirmed that both Bala and Kokila filed separate complaints.
